Donia has been homeless now since 9/30/2025. We started this fundraiser a year and a half ago and have been stuck near/at 30% of our goal for the past 9 months. We need your help now more than ever - every dollar and every share helps!
______
Our dear friend Donia recently learned she (& her lifesaver of a cat, Monkey) is losing her housing because her landlords are selling the property after inheriting a third house. Due to her severe neuro-immune disorder she cannot keep moving homes, and needs help securing a quiet, permanent place to live.
Donia became severely disabled in 2015 and had to move only once since then (in April 2020, during lockdown, of all times). She still has night terrors and health repercussions from the extreme stress of that move. This next relocation needs to be her last. In her lifetime, she has had to move an unbelievable number of times and her body cannot sustain the physical, mental, and emotional stress of moving anymore.
The current goal is to get an ADA accessible manufactured home or mobile home for her that we can put on a quiet piece of land she can affordably lease for the rest of her life. (If you are in Snohomish County in Washington State and have a connection to quiet acreage that might work, please reach out - we are working with others to purchase something she could lease a portion of where friends would live separately and help out together, making sure she is cared for).
Any amount you can contribute will make a difference. For those who prefer to give in other ways, consider sharing this campaign or supporting Donia’s art directly via her website. Before becoming severely disabled, Donia was a professional artist whose beautiful paintings, prints, and knit & crochet pieces make wonderful gifts for yourself or others - especially with the holidays approaching. When her health allows, she still creates knit & crochet pieces and sometimes jewelry from her bed, and purchasing her art supports this essential housing goal.
You can read about her incredible life as an artist and teacher working with veterans, recovering addicts, and disabled children & young adults all over the world (and read about her main condition which has no treatment or cure) on her site, in addition to seeing her art at: DoniaLilly.com.
Thank you for helping us create a safe, stable future for Donia. Together, we can make her last move one that brings peace, security, and hope.
