Help Donatello, our baby cat trapped in the sewer

Meet little six week old Donatello! Donatello was first discovered by me (Lindsey) on Sunday 7/24 trapped in a sewer drain in downtown Delray Beach. I called the fire department for help and they rushed out immediately but sadly Donatello got spooked and ran, they said they couldn’t see him in the drain and assured me that there was street access for him to escape. I left him food and hoped they were right. On Monday and Tuesday we didn’t hear him. On Wednesday I heard him screaming from the drain again and we immediately rushed home to grab kitten traps and spent the entire day trying to catch him with everything we could think of to no avail. Thursday we had people come feed him and Friday morning I enlisted the help of Liz Jones, founder of Operation Liberation. Liz immediately jumped into action and army crawled nearly 300 feet through a 24 inch wide sewer drain 8 feet underground. 6 days and we finally caught him. Baby Donatello is currently hospitalized at Pet Emergency Referral Center in Palm Beach Gardens where he is expected to make a full recovery. His current bill is at just under $800 but is expected to increase. After his discharge he will be fully vetted and neutered and go up for adoption.

Liz in the most bad ass human I have ever met. She is currently building out her dream shelter facility in Fort Lauderdale and every dollar raised after his bill is covered would go towards saving other street cats right here in South Florida.
