Hi my name is Adam. For all those that know me and for those who don’t, I love my girl corgi Elliott and vice versa. I rescued her as a puppy almost 3 years ago and then she rescued me and has been by my side ever since. On The 4th of July she was playing and broke a disc in her back and was paralyzed from her mid section all the way to her back legs and lost all feeling and control. She went into emergency surgery with a 50/50 chance of regaining any movement in the injured areas, 0”but I have hope for her just like I did for myself on my own journey that she will recover. You cannot put a price on a human life and in this unexpected event, the animal I love. That being said I was not able to cover any of the costs past the initial vet visit and will still owe around $12,000 just to get her home once she is discharged. I was told it’s not going to be an easy road getting her walking again, and there is even a chance she won’t walk again at all. The Veterinary surgeon said future expenses are likely, but Just For Today we are taking it slow. Right now, I’m asking out of the kindness of your heart if you could spare anything to help cover Elliott’s back surgery while she recovers so we can keep a roof over our heads while she gets better. I’m a full time employee also putting myself through college to one day help people like they have helped me get to where I am after all I have been through. Help me help Elliott the girl corgi recover and get back to our walks on the beach in Atlantic City and making everyone that comes in contact with her smile. Xo -Adam
