Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out on behalf of my dearest friend and her family after the tragic passing of beloved father, husband and friend, Robert Horder. Rob passed away after a heartbreaking and painful battle with cancer that began after his late diagnosis in May.

Rob is the father of 6 beautiful children and the loving husband of Liz, who has also been fighting metastatic breast cancer since 2024. 

After Rob’s sudden passing, Liz has been left with little financial stability to continue on. 

I have decided to create this fundraiser with the great and desperate hopes of being able to provide financial help with funeral costs, to give Rob the honor he deserves and help his grieving family.

Rob worked as a hauling truck driver for 40 years, dedicated to provide financially for the family. Although, through many hardships, health issues and other financial burdens, struggles to stay financially afloat arose for the family. 

Rob was unable to continue working, much to his disappointment, and was left with the only option of opening his superannuation savings in order to keep the family surviving. Now, left as a solo carer for her beautiful 6-year-old grandson with autism at home, Liz has been grappling with the devastation and with Rob’s support now gone. 

Seeing the family’s situation and knowing their story, my heart is obligated to search for any help and kindness that can be given. 

All donations will go directly toward funeral costs, and any leftover funds will support the family during this time.
