Help Donate to get Colleen’s Dog Home From Emergency Surgery
Donation protected
My dear sweet friend is in need of financial assistance to help save her dog!
Colleen is a single mom and devoted teacher that is in need of a break. She has had many struggles over the last few months, but today hit a little differently.
Her 6-year-old family dog was not eating or walking, so Colleen took her dog (Abby) to the vet. Upon arrival, Abby was taken for X-rays, and they discovered that she had a stomach full of trash. Colleen and her kids were in shock and don’t understand how this happened, but the vet gave her three options: take Abby home to die, put her down, or surgery.
She decided on surgery, for the sake of her girls, but had to pay first in order for them to even start the surgery. The bill was $3,031, and that’s just until Monday. Then Abby will then be transferred to her normal vet (they were closed today). The vet started surgery after 5:00 pm, and it’s 8:30 pm, and they are still not done as of now (three hours later).
As a fellow teacher, I understand the struggle of making ends meet, but a bill like this really hits hard. Colleen has never asked for help, but if anyone could help donate, it would make a world of difference for her and her daughters, as this battle has just begun.
