Dear friends,

Firstly, I would like to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation to you all for your generosity and support, for showing up as a community for us during this time of hardship.

I am writing to you today on behalf of my dear friend Donald Hazzard who has lost his battle to Colorectal Cancer after a year of fighting for his life.

He fought bravely and left behind his 4 beautiful children and loving wife.

His widowed wife is now a single parent who is currently out of work as she is dealing with the mental stress and emotional pain this loss has inflicted on her family. Her children desperately need her as they have suffered the most traumatic experience a child can endeavour. As of now, they stand to benefit from outlets such as extra curricular activities and outings of their interests which include basketball, gymnastics, soccer, skating, skiing, Wonderland, Legoland, whatever your child would love, as children, they want to be there too.

She would like to keep the children busy with activities to keep them motivated to persevere through their loss.

I'm reaching out to you today to ask for your help. We are hoping to raise funds for the family as they adjust to their new reality and to ease some of the family’s financial stress as they continue to navigate this difficult space.

Your contribution would be incredibly meaningful and would help secure their future while they navigate this difficult time.

Dear friends,

I am writing to you today on behalf of my dear friend Donald, who is currently facing some serious challenges in his life.

Donald is a loving husband and an incredible father of four children who has been recently diagnosed with stage 4 Colorectal Cancer. The cancer has spread and his Oncologist has estimated that he only has six short months to live. This disease has left him unable to work and struggling to provide for his family. At this time Donald does not qualify for funding programs such as the Ontario Disability Support Program.

The family has been forced to live on one income and that has been incredibly hard for all of them. His loving wife Suzanne has even taken on additional jobs just to help them stay afloat.

The family needs assistance with basic living expenses such as paying their mortgage, utilities, groceries, transportation costs, and other miscellaneous bills.

Donald also needs financial assistance to help him afford the herbs, supplements, and whole foods that are a part of his special raw alkaline diet. These items are very much needed to help him manage his illness. These items are also very expensive and are not covered by any sort of insurance or benefit programs.

That is why I'm reaching out to you today to ask for your help. We are hoping to raise funds to assist Donald and his family with their day-to-day needs as well as helping to raise money to purchase items for Donald’s customized diet.
