On April 8th, my car finally gave out. When the repair estimate came back, it wasn’t something I could realistically afford, and I found myself facing a difficult question: how do I continue showing up for my students without reliable transportation?
As a teacher, I’m used to being the one who supports others. Asking for help like this doesn’t come easily. But right now, I need it.
I’m working to replace my vehicle so I can continue getting to school each day, teaching, and being present for my students. I’ve been budgeting carefully, picking up additional work where I can, and doing everything possible to manage this responsibly—but the gap is still there and far too wide.
I’m hoping to raise $5,000 to help cover the cost of a reliable vehicle. Any amount—big or small—will go directly toward getting me back on the road and back to my classroom consistently.
If you’re able to give, thank you. If not, sharing this would mean just as much.
I truly believe in the power of community, and I’m grateful for any support you’re willing to offer.
