Help Donahey’s with medical related expenses

Hi. My name is Kristy Campbell. My friend, Steve Jones, and I want to help someone very special to us both. Mike Donahey started out as a colleague, then became friends and then family to each of us. And our family is hurting right now.

On Thursday, February 17, Mike’s 22 year old daughter Sarah was living life as any normal 22 year old would. Until she suffered from a rare ruptured brain aneurysm. Luckily her friends immediately rushed her to an ER where they have performed a series of surgeries to save her life and stabilize her. However, at this time, she is still in a coma and unresponsive. Her current prognosis is a painful and desperate wait to see how her body will respond.

Mike, his wife Paula and their family have been by her side praying and fully supporting their oldest daughter. Because of the uncertainty in the short and long term, being near Sarah is their most important priority as it would be for all parents. There is not much that we, his friends and adopted family, can do at this time. We have been offering prayers and kept them in our thoughts constantly. But we want to do more.

We have started this fundraiser for Mike and his family to help them cover expenses associated with being in Pittsburg near Sarah. The family lives in Bellevue, PA which is about 3 hours away. And they have been staying in hotels near UPMC. We know that living out of a suitcase is extremely expensive. Their length of stay is - as long as they need to. And finances are not something that any parent should have to worry about in this situation.
