As some of you may have heard, while vacationing with his family, on Thursday, October 7th, Don was involved in a serious accident that left him with a severe spinal cord injury. He was airlifted from the Big Island to Honolulu, where he remained in the ICU for 6 days. While he has regained some limited movement in his limbs, he faces a long road to recovery, with several months of intensive in-patient rehab ahead. Currently, he is still in the hospital in Hawaii, awaiting admission into rehab, which may require a medevac flight back to Maine, at great cost to he and his family.
If you know Don, you know that he is genuinely the kindest, funniest, hardest working person that you could ever hope to come across. He’s been an active part of the community, and a fixture of downtown Biddeford for over 40 years at Houde’s Hair Salon. He is an amazing husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, and would do anything for those he cares about. But right now he needs some help. We ask that you donate anything you can, and if you cannot do so financially then please send your thoughts and prayers to him and his family during this difficult time. Anything at all helps. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
