My friend Don, Lorenza Morris, has always been there for me and for others who were struggling. Now, he needs our help. Last August, while working on his car in the dark, Don was bitten by multiple spiders. This led to a series of medical issues, especially flaring up his autoimmune condition, and resulted in significant medical expenses. Then, on April 9th, he caught the flu, which triggered even more health problems. He’s just now starting to recover from all of this.

To make things even harder, Don was laid off from his job of 18 years during a mass layoff last year. He’s been getting by on his savings, doing photography and odd jobs, but being sick for almost six weeks meant he missed out on a lot of work opportunities. Now, his savings have run out, and he’s at risk of eviction. Don has been applying for jobs and is working on getting his electrician license, but so far, he hasn’t received any offers.

I’m hoping this fundraiser can buy Don some time to recover fully and get back on his feet. The funds will help cover his living expenses and medical bills while he continues his job search.
