Hi, I’m Danielle and I’m raising money for my co-worker and best friend Don Peterson.

On Friday September 8th, our dear friend and community member Don Peterson was involved in an accident that left him with immobilizing injuries. Don has suffered a severely broken collar bone, and his recent consultation with a surgeon has left him with grave news and larger financial shock.

Like many beloved and hardworking people in the service industry, Don is without health insurance. The cost of surgery will be $14k and unfortunately he cannot be seen for this surgery to occur until funds are curated. 

Don is not only facing the insurmountable cost of surgery that is not yet scheduled, but he is also recently moving into a new apartment lease while riding out the lease of another apartment location. Two rent payments.

Our friend is currently resting and enduring his pain levels at his family’s home in Zimmerman, MN. Don is also someone who utilizes rideshare services, and the appointments and visits and day-to-day errands soon to come using rideshare from that distance, are also becoming too much to bare. 

His surgery, his rent payments, his rideshare use and his basic needs have reached an overwhelming calculation. As his family, his devoted regulars, his long stands buddies and loved ones could assume, on behalf of him we are asking for the community’s help in pooling together and raising at or above $20,000.

Don has been the warm honey on the heart behind the bar for so many of us over his 30 year dedication of service. He has hooked it up, or treated us or made it rain on many of his friends and even strangers over the years, it’s time we show up for him in that same way.
