Don Julio is a familiar face at our local grocery store—a kind, hardworking man who always greets everyone with a smile. He’s spent years collecting metal and soda cans, working tirelessly every day to make an honest living. Many of us have come to know and appreciate his positive spirit and the way he brightens our community.

Recently, Don Julio faced a devastating setback. His truck’s brakes failed, causing him to crash into a building. Thankfully, he survived, but the accident destroyed his truck—the only way he could collect recyclables and support himself. Without his truck, Don Julio has lost his means of earning a living, and he’s now facing an uncertain future.
