Hello, My name is Robert and I'm starting a fundraiser for my buddy Don Cox Jr..

Last Friday, Don was in a freak accident that resulted in him catching on fire. He has 3rd degree burns on both of his hands, neck, left arm and left side. UT Hospital (in Knoxville TN) was unable to treat him and transferred him to Vanderbilt Burn Center Friday afternoon. Dr's and nurses was only able to clean some of his burns, do the intense and excruciating pain. Therefore, he was scheduled for surgery on Tuesday to finish cleaning the burns, remove and scrape off the burnt skin, and preform a skin grafts. Unfortunately, the Dr. was unable to complete skin grafts on Tuesday, as they didn't realize the extent of his burns on his neck. He is scheduled for 2nd surgery, this Friday to complete the skin grafts. This is only the beginning of a very long and hard road of recovery that he will be facing. I can't even imagine the pain he is feeling, emotionally, physically, and financially. We as a drag racing community "FAMILY & FRIENDS" are asking for your help to support him with this unimaginable recovery.

Don is an avid drag car racer, at Knoxville Dragstrip in Maynardville TN. He is well known around the drag racing community, loved, has a heart of gold, and will do anything to help anybody at anytime. Everyone that knows Don, knows out of all his pain and suffering, he will be missing his dog "Bracket" the most.
