Help Don and Jess - Kidney transplant donor and recipient

Dear Friends, Family, and Community,

My family just learned that my brother Don's wait for a kidney will soon be over. Later this month (October 2024), Don will receive one of his wife Jess's kidneys after countless tests to see if she was an acceptable donor/match.

Don, Jess, and their 15-year old son, Jacoby have been managing as best they can since Don's lifelong kidney disease worsened significantly several years ago, but it has not been easy. Don is now Stage 5 - End Stage kidney failure and has been unable to work for some time.

Now, with Jess as his living donor, they will be facing an untold number of additional medical and related expenses as they both recover and heal from their surgeries. Donald will be hospitalized in MA for at least 3-weeks and Jess for at least 3-days following the kidney transplant. They have both been accumulating medical expenses throughout this process and this will continue for some time following their surgeries.

Anyone who knows Don and Jess knows that they are givers and do not like to ask for help. They are truly two of the most giving and generous people I know.

We would be grateful for anything you can do to help them through this financial burden and allow them the peace of mind to focus on their healing and becoming well.
