My friend Ausra asked me to create GoFundMe for her handsome son Dominykas, here is her message to all of you:
"Dominykas was born prematurely at 32 weeks. Due to prematurity and breath issues he has spastic diplegic cerebral palsy. His legs are always tight and stiff so he struggles everyday performing simple daily tasks and the worst part of this is that spasticity causes pain. A six years old boy feels pain everyday from the day he was born..
But there is a key to pain free life and a huge dream come true - to walk independently! SDR (selective dorsal rhizotomy) - a permanent neurosurgical procedure performed in the lower part of the spine by severing through nerves to reduce the spasticity in body. Our family chose to do this in St. Louis children Hospital, Missouri, USA.
T.S. Park is a neurosurgeon who has more than 30 years experience in this complicated procedure and some people call him God of SDR because his success percent is the highest. We sent all the papers needed for evaluation and already have a reply - Dominykas is a great candidate for SDR so it means his spasticity will be reduced permanently and doctor says it will help him to finally walk independently!
