Help Domino's Cat Rescue League Raise the Roof

Please help Domino's Cat Rescue League raise the roof on Domino's House and keep the kitties who call it home safe and dry.

After last years storms hit Florida, Domino's Cat Rescue in Palm City, was left with substantial damage to the property and Domino's have gradually removed trees and replaced roofs on the Main House, Breezeway, Adoption Porch, Guest House, Kitten Room and Guest House Porch in 2025.

In addition to this, basic repairs have been carried out across the property in general but, now the "kitty" is out of funds and there is a desperate need for help to save the treasured original Domino's House building by giving it a new roof as well as making repairs to drywall and replacing electrical wiring so that the kitties calling it home will remain safe and dry.

These repairs are estimated to cost $ 12.000 but we have been warned that the cost might creep closer towards $ 20.000 depending on what they find once they start working.

If you know the story of Domino, you will know that Domino's Cat Rescue League aka Domino's House is a 501 (c)(3), founded in 2001 by Rita Maris Sine and the love of her life, Charlie Sine in Palm City, Florida.

Domino's mission is today as it was then, to rescue and rehome stray, abandoned, and surrendered cats and kittens.

As a no cage, no kill feline shelter, sanctuary, rescue and adoption facility, Domino's also provide a loving forever home for cats who for any reason are not adopted.

After more than 60 years of marriage, Rita lost Charlie in 2022, losing not only the love of her life but her rock and her partner in every way.

Domino's lost a treasured director and the "Mr. Fixit" who worked tirelessly when it came to maintenance.

Since then, Maris have battled lung cancer despite never smoking a day in her life, recovered from a broken hip and a fractured spine as well as 2 strokes, and throughout it all she has never given up.

Maris now runs Domino's along with her daughter Debra and a small staff and at 87, Maris is the glue that keeps Domino's together, the one who will sit up all night caring for a sick cat. Maris remains as dedicated to Domino's and the kitties today as she was 24 years ago.

At the moment Domino's monthly expences include:

Payroll $ 8000

Cat Food (Wet, Dry and Prescription) $ 3500

Vets Fees and Medications : $ 2000- ????

Landline, Cell Phone and Internet : $ 400

Insurance and Property Taxes : $ 1800

Power, Well Maintenace, Property Maintenace, Pest Control : $ 1300

Covering the the cost of materials and labor costs for a new roof for Domino's House, one of our original buildings and named after the cat that started it all

Covering the cost of drywall repair in Domino's House.

Covering the cost of rewiring in Domino's House.
