Help Domino Heal: Fund His Recovery Journey

Donation protected
I have been caring for the community cats that show up needing help in my neighborhood for 4 years now. This fundraiser is to help the last stray cat left on my block named Domino. He first came around almost 2 years ago and has been an intermittent feeder. I did not see him much over the last year until I noticed him show up at my door again a few months ago, looking thin and frail. He became a regular feeder again since then, and regained weight and started looking healthier.

Fast forward to a few weeks ago, when he did not show up for his regular meals. I became concerned, and rightly so, when he showed up the next evening hopping on three legs. This poor guy's front right paw was injured to the point that he could not bear any weight on it. I grew concerned that he needed vet care when one day turned into 4-5 days of him not showing any improvement. My friend Anna loaned me a trap and I got him trapped and safe inside on 3/19/25, then took him to the vet the next afternoon.

Domino most likely would not have survived without vet care. He had a deep bite wound to his paw that was infected and was running a high fever. He received an antibiotic shot and pain meds, and my friend has graciously offered to foster him while he recovers. Neither of us are an official rescue, we are both paying for his care out of pocket and he will need further treatment including being neutered, and he also has a lower canine that is broken and may require extraction.

We are hoping that he decompresses more from living a life on the streets in fight or flight mode. He is showing signs that he may be socialized and we could find him a forever home - he plays with his toys, is allowing some pets and chin scratches, enjoys his kitty tv, and is watching the neighborhood outside the window in his foster room. He will never know his former life. We are showing him the love he always deserved, and allowing him to accept it with time and trust.

Our goal is to raise funds to support Domino's ongoing care which includes further vetting, transport costs to/from the vet, and everyday supplies such as food and litter.

Please donate what you can to help Domino live his best life, any amount is appreciated - Thank you and please share!
