Right now, I’m in the ICU battling heart failure. My doctors have told me I need a heart transplant to survive. I’ve had multiple surgeries, endless hospital stays, and nights where I didn’t know if I’d wake up the next morning. Through it all, I’ve kept pushing — because I have people who need me.

I’m a mother of four amazing kids, and when my mom passed away, I also stepped up to care for my younger brothers. They are my reason for everything. I promised them I’d never give up — that I’d always be there. But lately, it’s been harder than I could ever explain.

Even with my health failing, I’ve been working just to keep food on the table and a roof over our heads. My body can’t heal because I’ve had no choice but to keep going. But now, I’ve reached a point where I physically can’t anymore. My heart is weak, my body is tired, and I need help — help to rest, to recover, and to get the care I need to survive.

Right now, I’m stuck in Chicago, away from my kids and brothers who are in Texas. Every night, I cry praying I’ll make it back home to them. They’ve already lost their grandmother — I can’t let them lose me too.

I’m asking for help to cover my medical needs, travel home to Texas, and keep our family afloat while I recover. Every donation — big or small — is a step closer to healing, to hope, and to being back with my babies where I belong.
