Our brother Dominick has always put others before himself, both as a devoted family man and as a dedicated police officer. He has won multiple awards for saving lives and is considered a hero cop in Hinsdale. Just a few hours after finishing his shift, Dominick was called in for backup on a domestic violence call. Even though he was off duty, he didn’t hesitate to respond because he cares deeply about protecting his community. Shortly after he arrived on scene he found himself face to face with the suspect. In a moment of incredible bravery, Dominick began wrestling with the suspect in attempting to remove the firearm. During this struggle, he was shot several times.

Dominick’s injuries are serious, and he now faces a long road to recovery. He is the sole provider for his wife and five children, and his family is facing an uncertain future as he undergoes multiple surgeries, therapy, and rehabilitation sessions. The financial burden of daily responsibilities is overwhelming, and they need support to get through the months ahead. This tragedy is not only devastating for his family, but for the entire Hinsdale community that looks up to him as a hero.
