Helping Dominick Fight Stage 4 Lymphoma

Hi everyone,

My name is John Jahoda, and I'm writing to you today with a heavy heart, but also with immense hope, on behalf of my incredible cousin, Dominick Sair. For as long as I can remember, Dom had been more than a cousin to me he has been a brother. He's 37 years old, full of an infectious zest for life, always the first one to lighten the mood with a joke, and the last to leave when someone needs a helping hand. He's shown up for so many of us, time and time again, without question or hesitation. Now, it's our turn to show up for him as he faces the biggest battle of his life: Stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

After months of battling unexplained fatigue, fevers, drenching night sweats, and significant weight loss, we finally received the devastating news. We held onto hope that it was anything but, but scans and biopsies confirmed the harsh reality: the cancer had spread aggressively. The news was absolutely crushing, but if you know Dominick, you know he's never been one to back down from a fight, and he certainly isn't starting now.

His medical team has wasted no time, and Dom has already begun an intensive treatment plan involving a combination of chemotherapy and immunotherapy. This is a tough road ahead – we're looking at a 4 to 6-month battle, potentially longer depending on how his body responds. He'll be undergoing frequent infusions, constant blood monitoring, and will undoubtedly be grappling with the brutal side effects of treatment: nausea, overwhelming fatigue, a compromised immune system, and so much more. He's showing incredible strength, but we know this journey will take an immense toll on him physically, emotionally, and, unfortunately, financially.

During this critical time, Dominick simply won't be able to work. The demands of treatment are just too great for him to manage a job on top of everything else. And while he's fighting for his life, the practicalities of everyday living don't stop. Medical bills, co-pays, necessary medications, transportation to and from appointments, and basic living expenses will continue to pile up.

We've set up this GoFundMe with one crucial goal: to allow Dominick to pour all of his energy into healing, without the added stress of worrying about how to keep the lights on or afford his next critical scan.
