My name is Dominic Garcia, and I’m trying to get stable again after losing everything. My camp was swept by Rapid Response, and all of my belongings were thrown out once again. A few hours later, the tent I moved nearby just so happened to be stolen. I’m left with only the clothes on my back.
I've been homeless for multiple years now, and battling my addiction and mental health issues all the while. Although I have managed to get clean and remain that way for a little over a month now, I know how it can look—an addict asking for help—but the truth is I don’t even have a dry change of clothes or a way to keep myself safe while I work toward rebuilding. I’m staying consistent with my treatment and doing my part to move forward, but without basic essentials, it’s nearly impossible to get traction.
I’m raising funds to secure a safe place to stay and replace the basics: clothes, hygiene items, bedding, and a phone so I can stay connected to services and opportunities.
Any support helps more than I can explain, whether it’s a donation or sharing this page. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for helping me take the next step toward stability. We all need a little love and kindness nowadays.
