Dave Giorgio here. You may have heard me speak about my dear friend Dominic Margiotti and his struggles with undiagnosed lyme disease.

This is no ordinary problem. He was misdiagnosed, and this insidious disease has wiped out his health in ways you can't imagine. For years he's been wracked with the most unbearable pain (at times paralyzed and unable to move) and incapable of performing even the simplest aspects of existence (lifting his spoon; scratching his head, etc). This while chasing after diagnoses and treatments to an extent that boggles the mind.

There's been well over 40 doctors. This doesn’t include the numerous physical therapists, chiropractors, massage therapists, muscle correction specialists, nor the dozens of nurses. At one point they even amputated a rib and a half thinking this would bring relief. To no avail! There's been constant, expensive medication, hospital stays (at one point Dom underwent 12 weeks on IV), detoxifying their house to the tune of $7000, not to mention loss of work.

Dom’s wife Helen, a genuine saint, cared for Dom around the clock and shouldered all of the costs of living and treatment. This created staggering levels of debt. But Helen also kept Dom going and was the absolute light in his life. She is one of the few people I've met that I can confirm is the embodiment of an actual angel. She has lived a life of unmatched kindness, generosity, humor, and light. Helen’s work with children at the Vineland library has touched the lives of thousands of people. A genuine inspirational force.

HEARTBREAKINGLY, on June 2, 2025, Helen passed away suddenly due to meningitis.

And just as suddenly, Dominic is alone with no way to live and survive.

Dom has been receiving treatments that use:

Supportive Oligonucleotide Therapy. The starting cost of treatment is about $6000, then $2800 every 6 months.

Extracorporeal Blood Oxygenation and Ozonation)- $1,400 per treatment (4 treatments so far and more are needed).

IGenX Lyme test- $2100 per test (Dom received 3 of these so far, many more will be needed)

Plus many other expensive visits, tests and procedures. These are not covered under regular health insurance as the medical community lags behind this issue. Perhaps there's just not enough money in it.

Meanwhile, the treatments listed above are the only way to purge his body of these infections that are wreaking havoc on his body. Not being able to work and generate income had already placed a tremendous strain on their finances. Now, with the tragic loss of Helen, Dom's financial situation has gone from bad to dire.

Dom needs in-home care, daily, which is very expensive. He needs to keep treating the tick-based diseases (Lyme, Babesiosis, and Bartonella) via the very costly treatments listed above. And he needs this help immediately in order to keep the lights on and food on the table. He’s trying to stabilize his financial situation and we need your help!

Dominic is one of the greatest singer/songwriters to come from our area, and one of the gentlest and kindest human beings you'll find. With the loss of Helen, Dom has lost the light of his life as well as the support he needs to simply live.

We are asking for your help.

Dominic will eventually beat this illness with continued treatment and care. But the situation is urgent. The loss of Helen was such a sudden tragedy, we are asking for all the help you can give.
