My name is Lindsey. My dear friend Jill is having to face the most difficult thing a parent can face - her child Dominic has a rare genetic disease that is terminal. We have all watched Dom decline over the past 2 years, but it seems to be happening more rapidly. He will likely be wheelchair bound within the next six months, and is having complications with his breathing. Since his condition is so rare, doctors are unsure what his prognosis is. His diagnosis is dynch1h1 (google it if you would like more information!) and it is loosely associated with muscular dystrophy, causing his muscles to all atrophy.
All of this to say, they need our help. Doctor visits weekly, trips to CHOP in Philadelphia, therapy, it takes a toll on a family. On top of all of this, her vehicle just broke down and the costs to repair it are extensive. We are trying to raise enough money for Jill to get a reliable vehicle for Dominic's various appointments. Jill is a single mom who tirelessly advocates for her children, and tries to make ends meet but it is not always enough. If we can raise enough, a wheelchair accessible car would be the best - this will allow them to adapt as Dominic becomes more dependent on his wheelchair. Please share their story, and donate if you can. Every little bit helps!
