This campaign discusses domestic violence and its long-term physical, emotional, and financial impacts. Reader discretion is advised.

For 17 years, I lived in a marriage marked by domestic violence, narcissistic abuse, and financial control. Like many survivors, I didn’t leave with savings or stability I left because staying was destroying me.
During my marriage, I was physically assaulted, leading to knee surgery, permanent nerve damage, and chronic pain in my neck and lower back.
These injuries didn’t end when the marriage ended. Today, I live on $781 per month in Social Security Disability, with no spousal support despite court orders.
For my safety, the court granted me exclusive possession of my home. However, my ex-husband has refused to comply with court-ordered obligations cutting off all financial support, blocking my access to the mortgage, and preventing the home from being listed for sale. This is ongoing financial abuse.
Because of this, my home is scheduled for tax sale on January 15, 2026. Without immediate help, I risk losing the only safe place I have left.
I am seeking $10,000 to:
Prevent foreclosure and utility shutoffs
Cover urgent living and legal expenses
Maintain stability while living with disability and chronic pain
I am not asking for debt forgiveness or luxury only time, safety, and stability while the legal system catches up.
If you can donate today, you are helping a survivor stay housed, protected, and dignified.
If you cannot donate, sharing this campaign is a powerful act of support.
Thank you for believing survivors.
With gratitude and hope,
Heather
