My name is Catherine, and I’m raising funds for my sweet beagle, Dolly. Dolly was rescued from Envigo, a breeding facility that sold dogs for pharmaceutical research, and she’s been a loving part of my family ever since. On Christmas, Dolly ingested a piece of a toy. At first, I thought it was small enough to pass on its own, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. She ended up spending two nights in the emergency hospital, and I don’t have pet insurance to help cover the costs.
During her stay, Dolly needed X-rays, ultrasounds, and IV fluids to help move the foreign object along. She’s also been treated for limbic epilepsy, which can mimic signs of nausea—so I initially thought her symptoms were related to that. The doctors, both her regular vet and the ER team, also suspect she may have IBD (irritable bowel disease), so while she was hospitalized, we went ahead with upper G.I. biopsies to get more answers.
The funds raised will help cover Dolly’s emergency treatments, diagnostic tests, and ongoing care for her medical conditions. I’m also unsure what might be needed next, so this support will help me continue to provide for her as her health situation evolves. Any help you can give means the world to us. Thank you for supporting Dolly’s journey to better health!
