Hello, my name is Dolly, and I am the mother of four beautiful children—Angel (9), Tydus (4), Kyrie (2), and Zyra (5 months).
Each of my children has their own unique needs. My oldest daughter, Angel, is a loving 9-year-old with autism. My son Tydus is 4 and battles epilepsy along with a rare genetic disorder. His seizures are still not under control, and he has required ongoing therapies since he was a baby. My 2-year-old son Kyrie had complications before birth and now needs speech therapy, and my youngest, Zyra, is just 5 months old.
Because of Tydus’ medical condition and frequent seizures, I am unable to work a regular job. I have to be available at all times for emergencies, appointments, and therapies—not just for him, but for multiple of my children. Some days I have to take Angel to and from school unexpectedly, while also managing everyone’s medical needs.
Right now, we are struggling just to survive. We do not have stable housing and often worry daily about having a roof over our heads. Transportation is another constant challenge, especially with so many medical appointments and specialists we must stay close to for Tydus’ care.
I do everything I can, including DoorDashing, just to afford a place to stay for the night, gas to get to appointments, diapers, hygiene items, and basic necessities. But it is exhausting and unsustainable. Many nights, by the time we secure a room, there is barely time to rest before starting all over again.
On top of everything, I must always keep fever-reducing medications on hand because when Tydus gets sick, he experiences febrile seizures in addition to his ongoing seizures.
We are currently on housing lists, but nothing has become available within our income range yet.
I am reaching out because I don’t know what else to do. We truly need help getting back on our feet—whether that means stable housing, reliable transportation, or simply catching up on basic needs.
Any support means everything to us. If you’re unable to donate, sharing our story or keeping us in your prayers would help more than you know.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story.
God bless you.
