Help Doli Bluebird get to Mayo Hospital Minnesota

Yá'át'ééh Hello All Our Brother's and Sister's We are so sorry we have to come to You All, but We have exhausted all our resources and are asking for help to get Our Daughter Doli to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota, as soon as possible when We can raise the money. The Mayo Clinic suggested we try this, they said most families that come to them do this to reach out to as many people as possible. We can't make an appointment, and schedule flights, and Hotel until we have All the funds to make this Long Journey.

It would be Doli, Valerie, and Mike going to Minnesota. Mom Eleanor and Our Son Will, will be staying home. We were notified this week that she was accepted by the Professor/Dean/Dr. at the Mayo Hospital. He is the only one in the world who knows of this very rare Diagnosis of about 120 cases in the world.

Here is the History if You All don't know what has been going on the past 10 Yrs. With Doli.

Doli woke up one Morning in 6th grade with severe pain on one side of her face/head. We had her go to many, specialist's and Children's Hospital to see what is causing this horrible pain. After 1 Yr of many visits/Specialists, and testing consisting of blood work, Opthalmologist, MRI, MRA, Cat scan, Spinal Tab, they were able to Diagnose her of Trigeminal Neuralgia, that effects the nerve on the side of her face/head. Dr's say this is rare, and the only case they know of in the world for 2 reasons, It effects a child, and it's effecting her main Blood artery. They could not do Surgery because it was not her small blood vessels being effected, it is the main blood artery, and she would bleed out during Surgery. They also diagnosed her of a Pseudo Tumor. Doli has been Medically Homebound for the past 10 years by her Neurologist due to the severe debilitating pain. She is on many Medications for the Nerve pain. Doli was on Honor Roll, Gifted and Talented, Played Violin, was looking forward to be in the Culinary field/Veterinarian and this all changed due to the every day struggle she has continued to endure due to Severe Pain these past 10 Yrs. We use to go to the Mountains every week, Pika Patrol for the Denver Zoo, fishing , camping, hiking, horseback riding, Volunteer at Our Church Food Bank, and due to the elevation and motions it makes her pain worse. She can't go to the movies like before, and has had to completely change her way of Living. Doli is now 22 yrs old and has never been able to work, drive a car, or have a normal life. We have been trying the past couple of years to get Social security disability but they keep denying her because the Lawyer feels it's rare and not in the books. We are continuing to keep trying for disability to look out for her future. The Neurologist we have had for the past 10 Yrs retired 4 months ago and he was the only one who would take her as a patient because Children's Hospital refused to treat her since this was not heard of and they didn't know what to do for her. We now had to find a new Neurologist after 10 yrs. that could take this difficult diagnosis on and help Doli.

We went to Lone tree to see a new Neurologist and after more testing he believes it is still a nerve issue in the Brain causing severe pain, but in a different location. He diagnosed Doli now of Nervus Intermedius Neuralgia that is a nerve in the middle of the brain, between the ears, and behind the eyes. This is a rare diagnosis also because there is only around 120 cases in the World. The nerve medication they would give to treat this, Doli is very deathly allergic to, and he said only 1 Dr. Has ever seen, treated, and done Surgery and they referred Us to that Dr. at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota, since he knows about this rare Diagnosis.

We have to come up with Our $6,000 Deductible, Out of network expenses for Mayo clinic, and for Travel - Airplane, Hotel, Car rental, food.

They said they will do there own testing and expect to be there for 1- 2 weeks, and longer if needed. We can't fly into Minneapolis because it's a 2.5 hr. drive from the airport to the Mayo Clinic and Doli can't be traveling that long. So we have to fly in to Rochester and it's a smaller airport and less flights. We all have been so scared all these years, and now even more with this new referral. This Family Clan is very scared, stressed, and worried. God Creator of All please protect, heal, and help Our Precious Child Doli through this, and We Pray No Surgery. It's so invasive and dangerous. We feel We need to make this trip to give Our Daughter the best quality of Life, and a chance to feel better. We All want to Thank You for your Prayers, Support, and Love for Doli.
