Hi all! My name is Lilli and I work at a local grooming salon, Doggy Shop with my co-worker Johnny and we are organizing a go fund me for the owners, Raul and Aleida. On the night of July 2nd, Doggy Shop was ransacked and robbed. This morning, on July 3rd, I woke up to a phone call from the owner letting me know the shop had been broken into so I didn't need to come into work for the day. I was left speechless and wanted to help. Raul and Aledia are husband and wife business owners of Doggy Shop who could use the community's help in rebuilding their business. A police report was filed on the morning of July 3rd and the police believe that the attack was planned because it was methodical, organized, and strategic. These people knew what they were doing and targeted us. Thousands of dollars worth of grooming equipment and supplies were stolen... Luckily I always take my equipment home with me, so I was spared, but Johnny was left with nothing and Raul and Aledia have been left to pick up the pieces of what is left to be salvaged and spared. I have been grooming for 15 years and I've never met 2 people who are so passionate about grooming and love their dogs as much as Raul and Aleida do. I've seen this community come together to rally for other local businesses on such a grandiose scale that have also suffered from break-ins and robberies, so let's do the same for Doggy Shop! Donations will go to repairs, replacing equipment, and helping them stay above water for the next week while replacement parts and equipment are shipped in.
