Help Doggie Delights Rebuild
Update: The Farner family would like to sincerely thank each and every one of you for your extremely generous donations. Every dollar helps andthey are sincerely grateful. ❤️
Our dear friends, and fellow animal lovers
suffered a gigantic loss this weekend. Donnie and Kelly, lost not only a member of their fur
family, but also their barn, business inventory and equipment. If you’ve ever been to the West Shore or Broad street markets- you have seen the Doggie Delights Shop and stopped by to pick of some goodies for your fur babies. Please see below:
This past Sunday evening, we had a fire in our barn. We lost a super amazing kitty, Buddy. He was my buddy. He hung out with me all day long and every now and then, he would just launch himself onto my back.... and stick there. I thought it was awesome. I would have to take my coat off to unhook his claws. Fun stuff. I sure will miss my Buddy boy.
We also lost all of our inventory for both shops. Since our shops have no storage space, we had a replenishment warehouse set up in our barn. Everything is gone. Our shops may look a little empty until we can receive orders from our distributors.
Our beautiful home doesn’t have a basement, so we stored a lifetime of personal belongings in the 2nd story of the barn. Also up there was my shop, filled with every tool an old man could acquire over the decades. All is gone as well.
We are truly grateful to the amazing firefighters from Shermans Dale, who braved a snowstorm to come save our home. Had they not arrived, we would have lost an equipment shed and possibly our home as well. Thank you fire fighters. You are Heroes.
All in all... we feel lucky. It could have been much worse. Stuff is stuff and we can replace it. Our hearts will forever love and miss our kitty Buddy.
We appreciate our amazing customers and hope to be fully stocked in the very near future.
See ya soon,
Donnie and Kelly Farner
