Hello, DOG (Dee-ooo-Gee) was diagnosed with two CCL tears in her hind legs the week before Christmas. She just went through a 4.5-hour-long surgery to perform a bilateral TPLO on her knees this Monday morning, the 29th. The TPLO surgery was to cut and rotate her joint in her knee to prevent the joint from thrusting out of place. Typically, this rotation is a 9-15° angle, with a severe case normally not exceeding 35°. DOG needed 43° on one side and 46° of rotation to prevent this joint from thrusting out of alignment. She is currently spending the next few days at the vet hospital recovering from surgery.
We normally don't ask for help but are in financial need this holiday season and any help would be greatly appreciated as we continue the next 10-12 weeks of recovery with DOG.
