My dear friend " Doc" Bowers had his big toe AMPUTATED and part of the bones on that foot removed due to a diabetic ulcer infection! He has NOT been able to work since Oct 6th, he has now lost his job, and his company does not have disability insurance. Doc was in the hospital from OCT 10th to NOV. 5th. He endured Vascular Surgery to install 2 stents to save the rest of his foot and in the months to come another surgery or 2 for extensive skin grafting. Sadly, our dancing friend is now confined to a wheelchair, has round the clock wound vac and long term ongoing intensive Occupational and Physical Therapy. Doc's bills are astronomical! Unfortunately, he cannot work for at least 6 more months sooo I proposed this fundraiser to help pay his bills and relieve him of some of the financial stress so he can heal.
