I am at a last resort and am needing to raise money for my 7 month old American bully, Dobby. Thursday april 9th Dobby woke up not bearing weight on his leg. He played hard the night prior and I figured he was just sore. On the 12th I took him to dove Lewis emergency and got X-rays and was told his foot is fractured. Dobby got on pain meds and was what seemed to be improving. On the 23rd I noticed his leg/ hip area on the leg with the fracture appeared to be very hard. The 24th was when that leg/hip appeared pink. The 25th when I woke up in the morning Dobby had a black/blue bruise where it was pink prior. I went into work and then that evening when I got home I noticed that the area was bleeding a lot and I rushed him to dove Lewis again. They shaved the area and told me that Dobby had a huge mass that he developed from his injury and explained that part of his tissue in his leg is dead. Dobby went into surgery and they drained a lot of the mass and placed a drain tube into him to have the mass continue to drain. I took Dobby home and started the antibiotics and pain meds, when I woke up I noticed that part of his drain tube appeared to be coming out. I took him back into dove Lewis and his doctor cut some of the tube and went to staple more and noticed another hole and said the skin is dying faster and it’s too risky to have the drain tube in now and she removed it. She hopes he does not end up needing amputation. She said that Dobby is needing another surgery to remove all of the part of his skin/tissue that is dead so that he can heal properly. That is roughly around 2 grand. He also needs intensive wound care for a couple months after his surgery. Dove said their last case like this when the dog was fully healed the owner had spent like 9 thousand dollars. I was approved for cherry and it is now maxed out from all of the visits at dove Lewis. I am running out of options and Dobby is needing this final surgery sooner than later. The intensive wound care for months after his surgery is very costly. I am making this to reach out in hopes Dobby can get this surgery asap along with being able to keep up with the intensive and costly wound care. I am willing to do anything for him, he is the absolute sweetest dog. I just want my baby healed. My epileptic dog who just recently hit one year seizure free has had 2 seizures since Dobby has been going through this, it is very hard on him seeing Dobby like this as well. Anything helps. I appreciate anyone in general for even reading this.
