Help Dobby Get His Life Saving Surgery

Hi, my name is Alexandra and I am fundraising for our beloved fur baby, Dobby.

Dobby is 5 years old now and has had health issues his whole life.

It began when we first adopted him, he was diagnosed with Feline Herpes Virus (FHV) and since then, he has had many other health issues that come from having this lifelong condition

Around 3 years ago, Dobby began experiencing bladder issues which lead to cardiac arrest. But luckily enough, the vets revived him and he was okay.

And this morning, for the third time, he was admitted to an emergency animal hospital in Nanaimo, BC.

Dobby gets bladder stones which are life-threatening in cats and the only way to treat them is through surgery where they unblock the bladder and drain the crystals out.

Because this has happened three times, the vet believes a life-saving surgery will help Dobby heal and never have to experience this life-threatening issue ever again.

The surgery is called Perineal Urethrostomy (PU) surgery, where they will remove the urinary obstruction issues by removing the narrowest part of the penis so he can relieve himself without going into cardiac arrest or having bladder issues.

The surgery he is undergoing right now to remove the bladder crystals is around $4,000 and the PU surgery is around $5,000, plus taxes and driving back and forth to the specialist we are asking to raise $10,000 to cover these costs.

Dobby is the heart of this family. When Tyler and I adopted him from a rescue 5 years ago, he made life complete again. We didn't know we were missing something until this shining light came in.

Tyler and I say we have 4 children because our animals are our children. We have two other cats, Bellatrix and Kreacher, as well as a beautiful dog named Loki.

And those of you who know me, know I always take a holistic approach but with Dobby's health right now, this is the only way we can get him back to full health and wellbeing without him being on expensive injections and medication that may cause other health issues.
