Dobby is my little buddy in life. Years ago, you could say I rescued Dobby from a backyard breeder situation, but in reality, he rescued me. Since then, he has been by my side through so many important moments in my life—graduating high school, finishing college, and navigating all the ups and downs along the way. A few weeks ago, I received the heartbreaking news that Dobby has a large 8-9 cm mass in the mid lobe of his liver. His veterinarian suspects it may be hepatic carcinoma, and we now face a difficult road ahead.

As of right now, Dobby needs further ultrasounds and a biopsy of the mass, along with tests on the biopsied tissue to confirm the vet's suspicions and determine the best course of action. These next steps are critical to understanding what we’re dealing with and whether treatments like radiation or chemotherapy might be possible. In the meantime, Dobby also needs medication to keep him comfortable and manage any pain or symptoms he may experience.

I’ll be honest—asking for help like this is not easy for me. I've always been the type to "figure it out" myself and am usually too prideful to reach out. However, when it comes to Dobby, I don’t want my ego to get in the way of getting him the care he needs. I’m currently transitioning into a new job, and unfortunately, I can’t afford his care on my own right now.
