Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my sister-in-law, Joana Bautista, who is now in critical condition after suffering a brain aneurysm. She had emergency brain surgery on October 10, 2025, and is still fighting for her life in the hospital.

Djhoanna is 49 years old, a loving and God-fearing woman who always puts others before herself.

This is not her first battle - she survived a brain aneurysm five years ago in the Cayman Islands while working there under a work visa.

After recovery, she decided to come to Canada as a tourist, to start a new chapter in her life. Sadly, she has not seen her husband and children in the Philippines since then.

Now, she is facing another life-threatening challenge. Although she has travel insurance, it is nowhere near enough to cover her rapidly increasing hospital bills and ongoing medical procedures. As a tourist with no income in Canada, she does not have access to public healthcare, and the costs are becoming overwhelming.

Our family is doing everything we can, but we cannot do this alone. We are humbly asking for your support- any amount will make a difference in helping her receive the care she needs. Your generosity will go directly toward her hospital bills, surgery costs, and other medical expenses.
