Hi, my name is Maurice, popularly known as Dj Reece. I am from toronto, North York specifically. I've been Djing since the age of 14 years old and I still strongly going at it. I've grown and mastered may craft and turned it into an unreal talent. Now I'm on the list of toronto's most requested Djs.

This past weekend, I had a gig that was booked for, a 40th surprised party. Everything was great and everyone had a great time. So at the end of the event, I packed my controller and speaker into the trunk of my SUV and had went back into the house to gather my smaller stuff that i would’ve later placed on the backseat.

I thought I all was well until I checked the trunk of my car the next day to get my stuff out. There was nothing. Only the trolley used to transport my stuff from car to the venue. A thief/theives had went into the trunk of car and stole my new DDJ REV 5 controller along with my 15 inch YORKVILLE POWERED SPEAKER. I was in close proximity to the vehicle and I guess that the trunk release sensed that I was close by and that's how the thieves got in. I made a report to the police and still haven't got back to me.

I was devastated and still am. Nothing was opened or exposed and I never knew I would've been a target of such an act. My sense of safety has been taken and im still uneasy about this whole situation. I have a few upcoming gigs that I would need these said equipment for. The total cost of these equipment would probably around $2,500 to replace as Im not covered under home insurance and auto insurance doesn't cover personal items.

I have had plenty of people reach out and apologize for what happened, and some even suggested I start a GoFundMe, something I never thought I’d do. Any donation would be greatly appreciated.
