My mother, DJ, is the strongest person I know. She was a single mother who worked three jobs at a time to provide for our family. In 2017, she suffered a massive stroke that left her right side paralyzed. Despite doctors telling her she’d never walk again, she overcame the odds and managed to cook, clean, and bathe herself and even drive, even with ongoing health issues.

Things changed in August 2025 when she had a hard fall that fractured her L4. Shortly after, she ended up in the hospital with sepsis and a severe UTI. She was there for a month, came home, but was hospitalized 2 additional times in the time frame, for the same thing and left with no answers or further treatment. On April 4th, 2026, after another fall, we found her in a coma-like state, and this time she was placed on life support. Her health has declined further, affecting her paralyzed side and leaving her good side weak and stiff. Now, she can only move her left hand, but it’s too weak to even reach her face. She has a long road to recovery ahead.

The funds raised will help with gas for doctor appointments, diapers, wipes, medical equipment, and anything else she needs.. My mom deserves the best care and shouldn’t have to worry or stress about these things.
