For the past two years, DJ—just 19 years old—has been courageously battling osteosarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of bone cancer. Throughout this painful journey of surgeries, chemotherapy, and endless hospital stays, DJ has shown incredible strength. His courage, kindness, and determination continue to inspire everyone who knows him.
Recently, our worst fear was confirmed: the cancer has spread to his lungs. DJ is now hospitalized long-term and undergoing intensive, life-saving treatments. The emotional toll on our family has been overwhelming—but so has the financial burden. DJ and I share the same mother, though we have different fathers. Despite that, our bond has always been unbreakable. He’s my brother in every way that matters, and I love him deeply. He’s already endured more than anyone his age should—losing both of his parents at a young age—and yet, he continues to fight with a strength that humbles us all.
