Help DJ Decimal Point: medical relief fund
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, fans, and well-wishers,
We come together today for our beloved friend and inspiration, Ronald Kyakuwa, better known as DJ Decimal Point. If you’ve ever walked the streets of Kampala, you may have seen and heard his unique sound system, a roving setup that brings joy wherever it rolls. His unique style, powered by solar energy, has been celebrated far beyond Uganda, featured in Pan African Music and Deutsche Welle, showcasing how music and innovation can light up lives.
Recently, tragedy struck. Decimal Point was involved in a life-threatening crash with a truck. Both of his legs were severely injured, a cruel twist of fate, as he has lived with a serious leg handicap since childhood, after doctors once told him he would never walk. One of his legs was almost completely destroyed and will require complex plastic surgery to rebuild.
Thanks to the incredible doctors at Mulago Hospital, the support of his family, and the prayers of our community, he has made it through several critical surgeries and is now beginning the long road of rehabilitation. His older sister, Suzan, has been by his side every day, ensuring he receives the best possible care.
So far, his family and close friends have covered the costs, but the medical bills and rehabilitation expenses are now overwhelming. This is why we are reaching out to you, his wider community of friends, fans, and supporters around the world. Many of you have asked how you can help. This fundraiser is the answer.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will go directly towards Decimal Point’s surgeries, recovery, and rehabilitation. We know times are hard, and we don’t take this request lightly. But if his music, his energy, or his story has ever touched you, please consider standing with him now.
Together, we can help DJ Decimal Point get back on his feet, and back to doing what he does best: spreading joy and music.
Thank you for your support, love, and prayers.
