DJ is 12 years old, and he is the kind of kid who can make anyone laugh. He loves video games, listening to Kendrick Lamar, and telling jokes. No matter what kind of day you’re having, DJ always finds a way to put a smile on your face.

Recently, our world was turned upside down when DJ was diagnosed with a DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma), an aggressive cancerous brain tumor located on his brain stem.

As parents, there are no words to describe the feeling of hearing this diagnosis. Everything changed in an instant.

Despite the fear and uncertainty, DJ continues to show incredible courage. He faces each day with strength, determination, and the same sense of humor that has always defined him. Even now, he finds ways to keep the people around him laughing.

The Road Ahead

DJ has begun radiation treatment and will be undergoing treatment for the next six weeks. This means frequent travel to medical appointments, long days at the hospital, and significant expenses that continue to add up. Depending on his current treatments and situations we may seek further medical treatments such as clinical trials etc.

We are asking for help to cover:

* Travel expenses to and from treatment

* Gas, tolls, and parking costs

* Hotel stays when necessary

* Meals during treatment trips

* Lost income from time away from work

* Other unexpected expenses related to DJ’s care

Any funds received beyond immediate medical travel expenses and will help us take DJ on trips he’s always dreamed about, attending a special event (he loves Kendrick Lamar), enjoying family adventures, or simply spending quality time together without financial stress, we want to make every moment count.

DJ has spent his life bringing joy to others. Now we’re asking our community to help bring a little joy back to him.
