Friends, family and fans of Chill,
Portland's beloved DJ Chill, A.K.A. Chillest Illest, A.K.A. Sir Chillingsworth, A.K.A. Even Steven, A.K.A. Steve Mitchell is currently in the ICU with the double whammy of Covid 19 and pneumonia. As you know, Chill was hit by a drunk driver and paralyzed from the chest down roughly five years ago. The result is a set of pre-existing health conditions that make Covid and pneumonia particularly challenging for him. A small example: because he's paralyzed, his diaphragm doesn't work so he's unable to cough without mechanical assistance. His doctors advise him to "prepare for the long haul" for his recovery. That means huge amounts of determination on his part, love and support from his people and money for treatment and medical equipment.
Anyone who has been in touch with Chill over the past five years has been stunned by his infinite positivity and nonstop productivity. Despite his hardships, he has created a staggering amount of new music since his accident. Please join me in helping restore Chill to his hilarious, creative best self. It's a cliché but it's true, every contribution helps. Every bit tells him that he has people in his corner.
Thank you!!
