On August 18, 2025, my husband, Derrick, better known as DJ, was injured while riding his motorcycle. He suffered a serious ankle injury needing two different surgeries to repair three major bones. He stayed in the hospital for 9 days.

This accident has completely turned our world upside down. My husband has been the provider for our family as I’ve been a stay at home mom and now he will be out of work for 3-4 months. The doctors say he won’t be able to walk on his own during that time, and to fully recover it will take 7-8 months.

The financial burden of lost income, hospital bills, gas, groceries and everyday expenses is more than we can handle alone.
