Help Dixie Russell Fight Stage 4 Cancer & Bring Her the Christmas She Deserves
In 2020, Dixie was diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer. For three years, she returned to multiple doctors with severe hip and back pain, but her concerns were dismissed again and again. It wasn’t until September 2025—when she was hospitalized in respiratory failure—that a CT scan finally showed a lesion on her right 12th rib. Even then, it was written off as arthritis.
If we hadn’t stepped in, demanded more testing, and contacted her oncologist ourselves, Dixie still wouldn’t have answers.
Since then, she has endured two biopsies, several CT scans, and extensive testing, and has now been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer, which has spread to her back and into her blood.
On Monday, November 17th, she will begin a full week of aggressive radiation. After that, she’ll start oral treatment. This will require frequent travel, and Dixie and her husband are on a fixed income.
Christmas is Dixie’s favorite holiday, and we want to make this the best Christmas she’s ever had—filled with decorations, warmth, and love.
