Dixie is an older female dog who is truly part of our family. We didn’t plan on her getting pregnant, but she’s always been so loving and gentle with everyone she meets. Last night, Dixie started having complications—she began bleeding and delivered her first stillborn puppy. It was heartbreaking and terrifying, and we rushed her to the emergency vet early this morning, hoping to save her and her remaining puppies.

Dixie means so much to so many people. She’s the kind of dog that everyone falls in love with right away—her heart is huge, and her love for people is endless. Seeing her in pain has been incredibly hard for all of us, and we’re doing everything we can to give her the best chance at recovery. The emergency surgery and care she needs are expensive, and we’re looking to raise funds to cover the cost of her surgery, spaying, and any medical treatment she’ll need afterward.
