Our kind friend and colleague Divya, was full of hope! She just beginning her new life after completing her studies in the UK.

Divya had just finished her studies and was preparing to apply for her graduate visa — excited to build a life she had worked so hard for. But one tragic evening, everything changed. As she left work on Dale Street in Manchester, Divya was hit by a car and had to be airlifted to hospital. She suffered a fractured skull, serious leg injuries, and trauma to her eye. She’s been in hospital for over a month, undergone four major surgeries, and faces a long recovery — possibly up to a year.

Divya was not only planning her own future, but also supporting her family in India. Now, she can’t work or complete her visa process — and her dream of staying in the UK is at risk. Despite the pain and uncertainty, she remains strong. But she can’t do this alone.
