Ditch Mafia began as an idea scribbled on a bar napkin, but it quickly grew into a passionate community group dedicated to boating, fishing, and protecting the Intracoastal Waterway—affectionately known as 'The Ditch.' Our mission is to keep our waters clean from pollution, educate others about the importance of waterway health, and create a more conscious, caring community. We host annual cleanups, tournaments, and community gatherings, and we’re excited to expand our efforts into local schools to inspire the next generation of environmental stewards.
Right now, we’re gearing up for a major cleanup event in May, just before the summer boating season begins. This is a crucial time to make a difference, and we want to get our name out there, gather volunteers, and secure the supplies needed to take care of the ICW. We’re also working toward becoming a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, which will help us grow our mission and reach even more people. With your support, we can cover outreach, event costs, and the safe collection and disposal of dangerous pollutants like cigarettes, needles, tires, plastics, and glass.
Our 'made members' are the most important part of Ditch Mafia. Without extra hands and funds, we can’t keep each other or our waterway safe. We would love to welcome donations, local volunteers, generous sponsors, and anyone with a warm heart for our aquatic neighbors and the boating community.
