Help displaced people in Lebanon fleeing Israeli attacks
Donation protected
It is not easy for us to wake up everyday hearing, seeing, and smelling horror. We knew that war was inevitable, and that Israel’s monstrosity would not spare us. The monster is closing in, pushing us toward despair. But we will not yield. Just as the people of Gaza continue to fight without surrender, neither will we. We learn from their steadfastness; from the lessons they teach us about standing together and supporting one another to carry on the fight.
Since October 8th, I have always told myself that when Israel escalates, I don’t want to be a bystander or someone who prioritizes my personal safety over my community’s. Today, I feel helpless, grieving, and enraged to see our brothers and sisters displaced once more—this time from the south of Lebanon to Beirut, from Bekaa and Baalbek to the North, and from Dahieh to the unknown.
Our people are scattered, and with winter approaching, they need roofs over their heads, warm meals, blankets, and care.
My friend and I, along with the support of others, are launching a campaign to collect donations and provide food, cleaning supplies, and whatever else we can to help our displaced people currently in Beirut. It may be a small initiative, but in the absence of the state, every donation can make a difference. Please reach out if you have experience running donation campaigns, know of a suitable platform, or would like to volunteer.
