My name is Julia, and I’m fundraising for the Asuncion family, who were displaced by the devastating Lahaina wildfires.
On August 8th, my cousin’s sister Abby and her husband Jayson& their family had to evacuate their rental home, leaving everything behind. Their rental was damaged, and due to ash and toxic debris, their belongings were declared unsafe and unusable. Sadly, their landlord also decided not to allow them back, leaving them without a home.
Since then, they’ve been staying in a hotel while searching for a long-term rental. On August 28th, Abby lost her job, making this time even more difficult for their family.
I’m humbly asking for any support you can offer to help them with housing, daily needs, and stability during this transition. Every little bit helps. Thank you so much for your kindness.
From the Asuncion family:
Our family has been displaced since 8/8/2023 due to the devastating Lahaina wildfires.
in addition, I lost my job that I loved so much and now I’m jobless and houseless. Please help us find a long-term rental and if you find it in your heart to support us financially we appreciate your help & continued support
This is hard for us to ask not something I would normally do but these are unusual times and we, like many other families have been affected by this unfortunate situation.
Thank you from the Asuncion Ohana
