Help Displaced Entomologists Share Their Stories

Donation protected
Note: This is a one time event, we cannot disable the monthly contribution. We would much prefer one-time donations. The meeting is on March 17th, 2025.

Border and national security has been dealt a devastating blow by the federal funding cuts and chainsaw-style termination of probationary employees. These new policies of the Administration have dismantled critical programs in entomology and has resulted in dedicated scientists, national taxonomy experts, research technicians, and more without jobs and their invaluable work unfinished.

These were the people identifying invasive species, protecting pollinators, and advancing agricultural research, work that directly impacts the American public.

We are organizing a symposium at the Eastern Branch Meeting of the Entomological Society of America to highlight their stories, showcase the consequences of these losses, and ensure their expertise is not forgotten. But we need your help.

Your donation will go directly toward covering travel expenses for these terminated employees and, if we raise enough, we can also provide a small per diem. This is more than just a single symposium- It is a stand for science, a chance to amplify their voices, and a way to fight for the future of entomology in America.

Every dollar helps bring their stories to light. Please donate and share, because when we lose scientists, we lose knowledge that protects our National Security and Economy.

Donate now and help us make sure their value is not forgotten.
