In the past week, Pearl has spent over $200 to keep her electricity on with the hope of switching from pre-paid to monthly (a cost of about $1000). This is what needs to be paid, $700 deposit + 5 days of daily cost + Deferred Payment). In the meantime, she has also been reaching out to local representatives and service organizations for additional assistance. However, if any assistance comes, it may not be for months.
